Five minutes from St Mark's Square and Rialto Bridge, strolling through the calli of the historic center, you chance into one of the most peculiar and picturesque spot of Venice; in Campo Santa Maria Formosa you can breathe the real atmosphere of the city. It is a quiet and reflective corner where the hustle and bustle of tourists dissipates, mingling with the habits and customs of the Venetian life-style; you can watch the children playing around the well after school, and the wonderful colours of the Sunday market.

San Firmino Bed&Breakfast is located on the first floor of an ancient house. The east side of the sixteenth-century palace gives onto the campo, and the west side overlooks the canal. From the south side you can admire the wonderful baroque façade of the church of Santa Maria Formosa.
When you enter the cosy and homely main hall of the house, peering around, through the magnificent three-light windows, you get the feeling to be still dipped in the outside life and activity. On one side you can’t help glancing at the slow and silent passing of the gondolas crossing the canal and, on the other, you catch a sight of the captivating and quiet everyday life in the campo, and you end up feeling part of it.

All the rooms of the house have the classic features of the ancient palaces, such as trabeated wooden ceilings and Venetian-style flooring. The furniture perfectly combines with the palace style and it is enriched with ancient pieces of furniture, tapestries and statues, especially the fourteenth-century man-size statue of San Firmino, which gives the name to the B&B; legend has it that caressing its hand brings good luck.

"All the taste of Venice"
The right place to spend a real Venetian weekend: delicate environment, luxurious furniture, great facilities for being a B&B. Very close to Rialto and San Marco, in the heart of the most beautiful Venice.
